Efusjon Closes Its Doors – Looking Back

Posted on August 31, 2010

Dear Past and Current Members of Efusjon,

First of all, I want to thank all of you that responded with gratitude to the communication I sent back in July. It has always been my desire to be as open, transparent and honest with those I do business with, even if it has negative implications on my personal economic circumstances. I believe in business, no matter what industry, it is imperative that you treat people with respect, and always be willing to examine your heart, to see whether or not you are compromising truth and integrity for mere personal gain.

From my experience observing many different business practices over the past 15 years, across various marketplace arenas, it never pays to make such compromises — and I’m not just talking about financial increase. I will be the first to admit that in my business career I have made mistakes and sometimes used people in ways that ultimately benefited myself, rather than them. This type of capitalism is prevalent in our society, so much so that many don’t see anything wrong with it, being somewhat blinded or desensitized to its overall negative consequences on individuals and families. I have sometimes learned the hard way, as I’m sure many of you can relate.

The decision I reached in July to leave Efusjon was based on information and facts I had gathered from my own due diligence, starting in February, 2010. I had asked very pointed, specific questions to both company officials and field leaders, most of which were ignored, diverted or plain lied about. However, what is hidden has a way of coming to light, and I was able to find out what I needed to know to make a sound business decision.

I also felt that you deserved to know what I foresaw on the horizon — the bleak picture of Efusjon’s future. In March, using fundamental economical principles & mathematics, I calculated that Efusjon would no longer be able to viably operate its network marketing business by the end of summer. Reading the letter sent by Efusjon Corporate (see below), you can see that this prediction was accurate.

You may have come across a saying in this industry and probably heard it more than once in Efusjon: “It’s all about perception.”. It is common that to stimulate growth, an atmosphere of hype is often created that in many cases is not based on facts or sound underlying values, but on mere speculation or even lies. This has led me to create my own saying, “Deception is the evil twin brother of perception. You can’t always tell them apart.”

In closing, I want to encourage all of you to take the time to dig deep, ask the hard questions, and do your research before joining any opportunity. If you part of an opportunity right now, make it a practice to conduct ongoing due diligence of the company and field leaders. Try as much as you are able, to always put others before yourself, and to not let greed and selfish ambition prevent you from being true and caring to others.

Although it is sad to see how poor practices in Efusjon hurt many distributors, I urge you to take a look at your experience with a heart to learn from it and move forward with hope. This will enable you to not let this experience hold you down, but instead better prepare you for what lies ahead, whether in business or other arenas of life. I could share story after story, of how negative circumstances have served as a stepping stone to something greater in my own life. Trials often lead to new triumphs.

I believe and pray that you will be blessed in this next chapter of life, and thank you sincerely for coming along with me on this journey.

Here is the letter sent today by Efusjon Corporate:

Dear eFusjon Distributors:

It is with great sadness that we announce today that we must cease the direct sales multi-level marketing business of eFusjon, Inc. as of September 1, 2010.

The independent contractor distributor agreements will terminate as of this date. See Distributor Agreement, Section 7 (“The Agreement shall continue in effect between the parties hereto until either party terminates the Agreement…”). Qualified distributors will receive their last compensation check for the month of August, less offsets against any amounts that are owed to the Company, on September 10th. Any commissions due will be available in your “Hyperwallet” account until October 31, 2010, after which date you will need to contact the corporate office (to access your “Hyperwallet” account please go to www.efusjonpay.com, or contact customer service for assistance). The Company will send refunds of the $30 membership fee to those distributors who became members in August 2010.

This was a very difficult decision for the Company and not one we had hoped to make. When the owners started eFusjon in 2008, we envisioned a unique and successful MLM business with healthy and unparalleled beverage products. The goal was to market these products through independent distributors via the MLM direct sales business model. Distributor performance, however, has been steadily declining for over a year now, and as a result, so has the Company’s revenues. The Company can no longer maintain a marketing model that is not generating the funds needed to grow a viable business. In short, the Company’s MLM business model is no longer a sustainable marketing strategy.

With a certain level of optimism, we also announce today our decision to explore other opportunities for the eFusjon product many of you have come to love. For some period of time, you may continue to enjoy eFusjon products through purchases (without compensation) on the eFusjon website www.efusjon.com.

Lastly, we extend a sincere and heartfelt thank you to all of you for your dedication to eFusjon over the years and for standing by our product and the Company during the height of our success as well as through more recent challenging times. We share your disappointment about the recent turn of events, but are cautiously optimistic about the future of eFusjon and eFusjon’s unparalleled, healthy beverages.

With gratitude,

The eFusjon Corporate Officers
